Man nabbed in Boksburg North for dealing in dagga

Asylum papers suspected to be fraudulent were also confiscated from the Nigerian national.

The EMPD Equestrian Unit members’ suspicions were raised when a man was seen trying to sell something to persons walking in First Street around 10am on Saturday morning in Boksburg North.

According to Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, the man was approached and when searched the metro police found 51 ziplocks of dagga on him.

“The suspect was immediately arrested. The Equestrian Unit members also found cash amounting to R420,” siad Kgasago.

“The suspect was locked up at Boksburg North police station on charges of possession and dealing in dagga.”

He is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
