Another Pep store robbery hits Boksburg

No shots were fired and no suspects have been arrested as yet.

Approximately R2 000 in cash and cellphones worth R200 000 were stolen during a robbery at a Pep store in Westwood on June 9.

The incident took place around 9am.

According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, Justice Ramaube, a 21-year-old victim alleged  he was busy in the store when three men entered.  It is alleged that one of them pulled out a firearm and demanded the keys to the safe.

“The victim told them the keys were not in his possession. The suspects then went ahead and opened the money tills and took out cash.

“They also loaded cellphones into the getaway vehicle before fleeing the scene,” said Ramaube.

Ramaube said the stolen cellphones are insured.

Investigations are underway.

Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects may phone 086 001 0111.
