The municipality will immediately begin with a traffic study in Parkrand, which will be concluded in June.
This is after a resident placed high accident zone warning signs on Trichardts Road in the vicinity of the Bokkie Park, where there have been several accidents and fatalities.
The Advertiser previously reported about the road signs and high accident zone on April 26.

“The metro will put up signs and road markings to warn motorists about the curvature and sudden bent of the road. Other traffic calming measures will also be considered after the investigation to assess the need has been completed,” said metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
The EMPD is also aware of the signs and high accident zone.
“EMPD officers from Boksburg precinct made a turn at the given address and an illegal sign found, not erected by any government organ from transport, roads or law-enforcement, was confiscated.” said Chief Supt Kobeli Mokheseng, media liaison officer.
