A 40-year-old woman was dragged off the street of Angelo informal settlement and raped by a stranger she described as a Sotho-speaking man dressed in a blanket and a pair of gumboot on April 25.
The victim told police she had just left her friend’s place when the assailant approached and asked her to follow him.
The victim refused, but the rapist dragged her into the nearby bushes where he assaulted her with a hard object, stripped her naked and raped her for about 30 minutes.
Once done, the rapist walked away, leaving the victim on the ground.

The woman told police she was walking down the street when the rapists dragged her to an undisclosed shack where they all repeatedly took turns raping her.
