Three-year-old takes pageant industry by storm

Manuella Pillay is also giving back to the community as a finalist in the A Princess with a Purpose pageant. The winner of this pageant will be announced on April 20 at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg.

You are never too young to make a difference.

This is according to Manuella Pillay (3) from Beyers Park who was recently crowned as Tiny Queen of the World at the Protea Hotel OR Tambo Airport.

This pageant recognises girls for their natural beauty and sparkling personalities.

Following her victory, she also earned a trip to Turkey, where she will be representing South Africa in the Mini Miss World in May.

“I’m very excited about her representing South Africa in Turkey. It’s a dream come true. I know that I’m raising the future Miss South Africa,” said her dad, Jason Pillay (35).

He said he is extremely proud of the way she is handling her busy schedule.

Manuella is feeding abandoned babies in need at the Rainbow Cottage for Babies and Children in Boksburg. She secured a weekly donation of bread from Mooi Rivier Bakery and donated all her unused toys to these babies and children.

“They are cuddly and I like to interact with them,” said Manuella.

She is also encouraging the community to get involved. Her dad has hired a bunny suit and will help collect Easter eggs and hot cross buns from the public and will distribute it to all the children at the home.

Her modelling career started a year ago when she was crowned Miss Springs 2018. Manuella’s mom proudly noticed that she is a fashionista and decided to enter her in beauty pageants.

Manuella will participate in numerous pageants this year.
