Home Remedy

As a mom, you can only give your children your best if you take care of yourself too. In winter, put cream on those legs. You deserve to feel good, so eat a chocolate, drink that wine. Look in the mirror, remind yourself you are not just an overworked mother, but also a strong, powerful woman that is doing the best she can.

Mommy Tip

For all the moms who are single, working, married, staying at home and all the rest: make lists. Remember to write it down so you don’t forget. Get the children to help, assign chores and teach them about responsibility and accountability. Get up before the children and run that house like a boss.

Check It Out

You don’t have to do it all on your own, work smarter, not harder. Outsourcing is key.

Do-Gooder

A big shout out to all the hardworking mothers of Boksburg. Thank you for loving your children unconditionally. You are appreciated and you are valued.

Charity

Love begins at home, so spoil your mother this month. Remember, you don’t have to break the bank. Make her a cup of tea, say thank you or pour her a glass of wine. Start a fire, make her some breakfast in bed, wash her car and tell her she is the best mom in the world because you wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her.

#tbt Throwback Tunes

Throwback to the ’90s, bless your ears and your heart, listen to New Radicals’ You Get What You Give and Someday We’ll Know. These feel-good songs will keep you smiling.

Food For Thought

You don’t have to be perfect to be amazing. It doesn’t matter what type of mother you are. Even if your cats are your children or you raise young ones like your own, you are doing more than enough. Just keep sharing the love.

Local Is Lekker

Boksburg has something to offer every mom. If your mom like plants, take her to breakfast at Hecker Nursery. If she’s more of a shopper, take her to the East Rand Mall and if she just enjoys relaxing, spoil her with a spa treatment at Sorbet. Boksburg has it all.
