Boksburg library users should take note of the temporary closure of the adult section of the library due to ceiling damages caused by the recent heavy rains.
According to Themba Gadebe, officials from Real Estate and Disaster and Emergency Services departments are on site to assess the extent of the damage.
“We have taken a decision to close the affected section as a precautionary measure to avoid any possible danger to our patrons,” said Gadebe.
Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Community Services Dora Mlambo said they are waiting for the full engineering report to determine the extent of the damage.
“Residents will be updated on the progress of the work done and the opening of the affected section in the library,” said Gadebe.
