The Boksburg North SAPS are looking for three suspects who allegedly robbed a weapons shop around 9am on February 13 near the Pick ‘n Pay Towers.
The exact number of guns stolen has not been disclosed, with reports being that it was close to 100.
According to Boksburg North station commander Col Kumbulani Mbatha, an unknown man entered the shop and asked the manager to see some firearms.
“While the man was looking at the firearms, he allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed the weapon at the manager.
“Two other suspects entered the shop and started loading the guns in a bakkie that was parked outside the shop and fled the scene,” he said.
“The suspects made their way to Witfield where they loaded the guns into another car before abandoning the bakkie.
“The suspects fled with the loot,” Mbatha said.
No shots fired and no one was injured.
