Recipe:
Sexy, sweet, sensational sisters
• Four servings
Last-minute dinner date and you need to whip out a dessert? With all the sugar syrup from the koeksisters and the added cream, the result is a sweet caramel flavour.
You will need: 12 koeksisters and 250ml fresh cream
1. Fit about three koeksister in one ramekin bowl, fill all the ramekins.
2. Pour fresh cream over koeksisters to almost cover them.
3. Bake in preheated oven (180°C) for 20 minutes.
4. Sprinkle a pinch of brown sugar on top for a bit more colour.
5. For even more sweetness serve with ice cream. Instead of separate ramekins, you can also serve in one big dish.
Bake all 12 koeksisters with cream in one ovenproof dish (you might need more cream for this one). Bake for 30 minutes for this option.
