Eskom has declared Stage 2 loadshedding from 9am to 10pm today, December 3.
According to Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson, during the scheduled load-shedding, parts of the network are switched off according to a predetermined schedule to ensure power supply is spread equitably to customers.
Stage 2 load shedding allows municipalities to carry out load shedding according to their schedules. Stage 3 allows for total control by Eskom.
To plan accordingly Ekurhuleni residents are encouraged to visit the www.ekurhuleni.gov.za to view the loadshedding schedule.
Customers in areas that are directly supplied by Eskom should visit www.eskom.co.za for more information.
