Cable theft the cause of Boksburg’s power outages on Friday

Power supply is expected to be fully restored by 6pm.

Residents of Ravenswood and Plantation have been without electricity today, November 30, since this morning.

According to metro spokesperson, Themba Gadebe, the cause of the power outage in Ravenswood is due to cable fault.

“In Plantation, the power outage is also caused by cable theft. Technicians are currently on site working around the clock to restore power to the affected areas,” Gadebe said.
