WATCH: Boksburg North CSC is now more welcoming

The Boksburg North Police Station now looks brand new and police officers are excited about serving the community from the revamped CSC.

The Boksburg North Police Station in Fourth Street was a sight for sore eyes as the client service centre (CSC) was falling apart. Since September this year, construction was underway to improve the CSC to a more positive and practical environment that did not make employees and clients cringe.

The transformation was even better than expected and on November 27 the new and improved CSC was officially opened by acting Provincial Commissioner Maj Gen Max Sentakane Masha.

SAPS officers, as well as sponsors, gathered in front of the new CSC to celebrate the renovations.

The police band entertained the guests and sponsors received certificates of appreciation from Masha and Boksburg North station commander Col Kumbulani Mbatha.

The guests enjoyed the music, opening sermon, a delicious lunch and stood proudly as the SAPS Code of Conduct was read.

Local sponsors included Samlin Construction, MVDM Arci Techs, TW Profile, Blunden Plumbing, Class Kitchens, Zebbies Lighting, Benoni Brick Works, Buco Rietpan, Maritz Sand & Stone, Tuckers Inc, Clyde Brickfields, HF Roofs, Windows 2000, Palms and Plants, Homestead Electrical, Exoticsteel, SWS Security, CTM, Filrite, JD Wooden Touch, Chilli Air.

Mbatha thanked Masha and his entourage for their presence. He also spoke about his dream to upgrade the CSC and with the community and sponsor’ support this dream became a reality. Mbatha thanked everyone involved with the project for their hard work and commitment.

Boksburg CPF chairperson Mark Gilpen expressed his excitement about the new CSC and reiterated that a book should not be judged by its cover, and that good work was done in the old and dilapidated building, but that even more can be done in the positive new environment.
