Woman airlifted to hospital following N12 crash

The Netcare helicopter was called to the scene which was used to fly the seriously injured patient to hospital for further treatment.

Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N12 near the Atlas Road off-ramp at about 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

According to Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer Netcare Limited, reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision.

“One person sustained serious injuries and three others sustained minor injuries,” said Herbst.

“The three patients that sustained minor injuries were transported by Emer-G-Med road ambulance to hospital.

“The seriously injured patient was treated on scene by an emergency care practitioner.”

All necessary authorities were on scene.
