Foreign national arrested for dealing in drugs in Boksburg

The suspect is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

 

 

 

 

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members acting upon a tip-off arrested a foreign national in Boksburg who was found in possession of the drug Khat valued at approximately R8 000 on Saturday, November 24.

According to chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, the Unit members had to act swiftly to avert a situation of the suspect making the narcotics disappear.

“A flat at Morton Place situated at the intersection of R554 and Rondebult roads was pounced upon and the yield included 12 bags of Khat,” said Kgasago.

“The suspect (39) was locked up at Dawn Park police station on charges of possession and dealing in illicit substances.”
