Order your Christmas cake now to support the needy

The cakes, weighing 1kg, are available at R110 each.

The Boksburg Lions Club reminds residents that its delicious Christmas cakes are now available and encourages citizens to support the annual charity initiative by placing orders.

The Lions’ James van Heerden said the initiative allows all residents to extend a helping hand to those in need.

Profit made from the sale of the cakes goes towards the club’s charity initiatives they undertake to build a better life for Boksburg communities throughout the year.

Projects include improving sight and prevent blindness, hearing aids, diabetes awareness and education, youth exchange and leadership development, feeding schemes, assistance to senior citizens, protecting our environment and disaster relief, assisting the youth and supporting the mentally and physically challenged.

The Boksburg Lions Club managed to collect thousands of rands through Christmas sale initiatives in previous years and thanks the community for their continued support.

To order your cake call Lion Tony Norris on 082 553 1607, Nora Norris on 083 419 7176, Charles Saville on 082 856 3668, Hannelie van der Merwe on 060 931 2809 or James van Heerden on 082 291 7564.
