Animals at Bokkie Park to be auctioned

On auction will be cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, geese, zebras and ostrich - all game will be sold by catalogue.

The Ekurhuleni City will auction off animals at the Bokkie Park, Boksburg, to avoid overcrowding of animals.

According to Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson, this will also ensure hygiene and decent living conditions for the animals that live at the park.

The auction will be held on November 14 at 10am at the park, Cnr Hertzog and Southvale streets, Parkdene. All animals on auction can be viewed on November 13 from 8am to 4pm.

Gadebe said a registration fee of R5 000 (refundable) is required to take part in the auction.

“Remember to bring a copy of your ID as well as proof of residence not older than three months. The SPCA will be present to oversee the auction as well as the loading of all livestock after the auction.”
