Entries from far and wide flooded in fro the competition, with Benoni’s own Viking, Daniel Bungay, playing judge to the Jeep East Rand quest to find and award a local resident who could design the ultimate shield for the special “Viking Edition”.
Entries even surprised the Autodealer about how creative the East Rand can be when inspired by something as amazing as the Nordic Sea.
The September quest to design the ultimate shield for the special “Viking Edition” Jeep Wrangler saw to Daniel’s selecting a short list of about 20, then down to six and finally an ultimate winner, Teboho Mofokeng.
The prize was a R5 000 shopping voucher to East Rand Mall and nothing could dilute this young man’s excitement when Daniel handed over the prize sponsored by Jeep East Rand at the dealership.
Teboho managed to capture the essence, authenticity and above all the passion of the Viking culture in his design.
This proved that we all have a Viking inside somewhere.
