On October 7, a violent crime was reported in Angelo informal settlement where a woman was shot dead and another injured by an unknown gunman.
According to Ledwaba, three women were inside a shack in the informal settlement when they heard a knock on the door.
Before they could even open the door, the stranger outside started firing shots through the door, which was eventually opened.
Once inside the shack, the gunman opened fire on the occupants, and one of them, identified as Motsidisi, was shot in the right side of her chest.
She succumbed to her injuries instantly. The second woman suffered gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
The third occupant of the shack, however, escaped the hail of bullets unhurt. The body of the killed woman was taken to the Germiston state mortuary.
