Man hijacked by police imposters in Dunswart

A number of vehicles were again stolen in Boksburg.

An Ivory Park man had his bakkie, a Nissan NP200, hijacked by police imposters in Dunswart on September 28.

The victim told police he was pulled over by occupants of a white Toyota Corolla who were posing as traffic or police officials.

They grabbed the keys from the ignition, dragged the victim out of his bakkie and took him to their car where he was blindfolded and forced to lie on the back seat. The thugs then drove with him to Diepsloot where he was eventually dumped.

Other reported cases of vehicle theft:

* Theft of motor vehicle A Germiston man had his bakkie worth about R200 000 stolen while parked in a Sunward Park parking lot on September 27.

* A Pretoria man had his bakkie, a white Ford Ranger, stolen from the parking lot outside Casa do Campo restaurant on Rondebult Road in Farrar Park on September 27.

* A Windmill Park resident was recently left stranded after his bakkie was stolen from the parking lot outside the Boksburg Library on Trichardt Road in the Boksburg CBD.

 

* On September 29, thieves stole a maroon Toyota Etios while parked outside Bokkie Park.

* Another Toyota Etios, blue in colour, was stolen while parked in Killian Avenue, Cinderella, on September 30.

* A Hyundai H100, white in colour, was stolen in Spruyt Street, Boksburg, on September 30.
