Watch: Reiger Park residents continue to protest against constant power outages

Residents demand that authorities intensify their war against the scourge of power and cable theft as well as electricity theft.

Residents of Reiger Park have regrouped and started blockading Leon Ferreira Drive leading into the township today, September 27.
Residents are continuing with their protest against the constant power outages caused by cable and electricity theft in the township.

Yesterday residents also protested, blocking several entrances into Reiger Park.

The community told the Advertiser that cable thieves relentlessly go about their disruptive business of stealing power cables on a regular basis, plunging several parts of the township into darkness.

Protesters want a high degree of government intervention in the electricity crisis faced by the community.
