Community take hands to clean park in Impala Park’s dam

The idea to clean the dam was placed on Facebook and locals jumped on board.

Atlasville resident Craig Reichert’s love for nature, animals and the outdoors motivated him to start an initiative to clean up the Buks Williams Lapa Dam in Impala Park.

“We all prefer to live in clean houses, but I believe animals also want to live in a clean environment. At the same time, I’m sure, and we want to enjoy clean parks,” said Reichert.

On September 23 at 8.30am the community gathered to clean up the environment in Impala Park.

Tracy Harris Property donated marketing signage, cold drinks and also supported cleaning up.

“We are very honoured to be part of the initiative and it is so nice to meet the people of the community,” said Tracy Harris from the real estate agency.

Mamba security also joined the initiative and grilled boerie rolls for everyone.

Perfect Water Atlasville and CPF Boksburg North Sector One also joined forces to help clean the area. Pack n Wrap donated refuse bags.
