Sunward Park homeowner held at gunpoint

Below are some of the serious crimes recently reported to the Boksburg SAPS.

Thieves forced their way into a residential house on Jaguar Road, Sunward Park, and stole a TV set and jewellery while the homeowner was asleep.

The complainant told the police he woke up at about 5am on August 28 to find thieves forced the sliding door open and help themselves to his belongings.

* In Parkrand, thieves lifted the gate of a residential property off its rails to enter the premises and forced their way into the house where they stole a TV set and PlayStation on August 30, while the owner was still at work.

* A gang of thieves also recently entered a home on Pollux Road, Sunward Park, and held the homeowner and her helper at gunpoint. They then stole jewellery, a laptop, and a substantial amount of cash money. No injuries were reported.

 

* A Brakpan woman had her Toyota Tazz stolen while parked along De Wet Street in Cinderella on August 30. The woman told the police she parked the car at about 6.35pm, but when she returned to the spot at about 7.30pm, the car was nowhere to be found.

* A bread delivery van, a white Hyundai H100, was stolen in Freeway Park on September 2. The driver of the bakery told the police he parked the vehicle at about 11.50am at 168 Kingfisher Avenue, Freeway Park, and went inside the shop to deliver bread. When he returned to the parking area the van was gone.
