Ward councillor Marius de Vos has expressed concern regarding the state of Anderbolt roads.
“These roads are full of potholes, and the holes just get bigger,” said de Vos
With the raining season approaching, de Vos is especially concerned about the danger that these potholes pose.
“Another problem in Anderbolt is the blocked stormwater drains. These things should be fixed in the winter before the rain starts.”
According to de Vos, the problems are not fixed early and the state of the roads worsens by the day, and this even though it is reported to the metro regularly.
“Anderbolt houses a lot of big businesses, factories and warehouses. If the state of Anderbolt stays the same, these companies are going to take their business elsewhere, causing a huge loss in income for Ekurhuleni.”
The Advertiser reported the potholes and blocked drains to the metro. Comment has not been received yet.
