Meet Boksburg SAPS’s new spokesperson – Const Ledwaba

The newly appointed communications officer joined the Boksburg SAPS almost a decade ago, fresh out of police college.

The Boksburg SAPS management has appointed Const Ntsako Ledwaba as the station’s new spokesperson.

Ledwaba takes over from W/O Cebisa Maseko, who has been the station’s spokesperson for a couple of years.

Maseko left the precinct at the end of July to join the SAPS’ National Social Crime Prevention Unit.

Ledwaba  has promised to do her best to help advance communication channels between the station and the public.

Ledwaba said she was very excited about her new role, which will allow her to interact with communities and liaise with people in the media, community groups and individuals.

She said her previous duties, which included working at the Client Service Centre, being a sector commander and social crime prevention duties, helped her to acquire leadership skills and gain interpersonal and communication skills. They also taught her to take initiative and work independently.

Maseko wished Ledwaba well in her new role, saying she had full confidence in her ability to execute her new duties at the station.

“Last but not least, I thank the community of Boksburg and all other stakeholders for working with us during my tenure as the station’s spokesperson.

“I hope the community will continue working with the police to curb crime in our communities,” said Maseko.

To report any criminal activity or suspicious people, residents may call the Boksburg crime office on 011 841 6843 or 10111. -@MthuphaFanie
