A man narrowly escaped death in a shooting in Angelo informal settlement at about 6pm on July 22.
Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Cebisa Maseko, said the man was inside his shack when he heard someone knocking on his door.
“He opened the door and noticed two balaclava-clad men. One of the strangers took out a firearm and opened fire on the victim.
“The victim suffered two gunshot wounds and was transported to hospital for medical attention.”
* In Jerusalem informal settlement, a man was assaulted and shot allegedly by a group of men and a tavern owner following an argument he had with one of the tavern patrons.
Police are investigating an attempted murder case.
