A case of attempted murder was opened on July 8 at 11.30am when suspects fired shots at a security vehicle.
According to Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Capt Juanita Coetzer, the complainant was on his routine patrols when he came across robbers in Leith Road, Bartlett.
He noticed the three suspects in the driveway of a house.
One suspect was inside their vehicle while the other two was standing next to their vehicle.
One suspect had a rifle and one a handgun. When they saw the security vehicle they opened fire, hitting only the vehicle. The suspects fled the scene.
