Peermont Children’s Trust continues support for seven aftercare centres

For over 10 years the PCT, one of Peermont Global’s flagship CSI programmes, has been providing support to the less fortunate primary school children in the disadvantaged areas that fall in the Emperors Palace catchment area.

Peermont Children’s Trust (PCT) recently delivered food parcels to learners of seven aftercare centres as part of its corporate social investment programme.

As part of its financial support of these seven aftercare centres situated at seven primary schools in Ekurhuleni, PCT provides 628 deserving youngsters with supervised aftercare during the school term and a daily meal.

PCT also offers these learners food parcels before the June and December holidays, new school uniforms at the start of the school year and treats them to a Christmas party annually.

In the week leading up to the June school holidays, the trust manager, Thomas Masango, travelled to the seven primary school aftercare centres to deliver food parcels to learners who attend the centres.

Here Peermont Children’s Trust manager Thomas Masango is with two of the beneficiaries at Thembimfundo, Simphiwe Hlatswayo (9, left), and Mduduzi Simelani (10) after they received their parcels on June 15.

Masango’s second visit was to Thembimfundo Primary School in Vosloorus where he gave 115 deserving youngsters hampers which contained essential dry goods to help keep them nourished during the holidays.
