Aerotropolis craft market brings some cheer to Boksburg North

The street market is part of a concerted effort to turn the area into a buzzing tourism hub.

The recently launched Aerotropolis Food and Craft Market held its monthly flea market in Boksburg North.

The organisation holds its monthly street market in cordoned off streets, Second Street and Seventh Avenue, every second Saturday of the month, and runs from 9am to 3pm.

The organisers of the flea market are business people and owners of most of the properties in First and Second streets next to the Boksburg North swimming pool.

Kristin Bloem is one of the scores of street vendors selling their artwork at the flea market.

The market consists of a variety of unique food and craft stalls, live entertainment, children entertainment and beer garden.
