10 Armed robbers target Dion Wired Retail Park in broad daylight
Reports that another cash-in-transit heist has taken place in Boksburg following a strong SAPS presence in North Rand Road is untrue
The Dion Wired store at Retail Park, along North Rand Road, was robbed at 2.52pm today (May 31).
This was confirmed by Capt Juanita Coetzer from Boksburg North SAPS.
“There were about ten armed robbers that stormed the store. Four vehicles were involved,” said Coetzer.
The suspects took cellphones, laptops and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
“A security guard was disarmed during the robbery. Nobody was injured.”
The incident has been registered as an armed robbery and investigations will continue.
