Parkdene family held at gunpoint

The following serious crimes were recently reported to the Boksburg police.

Robbery

*A gang of about four armed thugs held a Parkdene family at gunpoint and stole goods worthy thousands of rand on May 24.

The robbers entered the residential property on Black Street at about 5.20am, threatened the house occupants with a firearm and demanded keys to the safe. They then took cellphones and several other valuable items in the house before fleeing the scene.

Police are investigating a house robbery case, and no arrests have been made so far.

*Boksburg police are investigating a case of business robbery after the CNA at the corner of Kingfisher Avenue and Duiker Street was held up by a gang of about three armed men on May 24.

The trio entered the store, held staff at gunpoint and stole 50 brand new cellphones and DVDs. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported during the robbery.

Theft of motor vehicle

*A Brakpan man had his Toyota Corolla stolen while parked in the driveway of a residential property on Pringle Street in Parkrand, on May 26.

The victim parked his car there at about 4pm, but when he returned to the driveway about two hours later, the car was gone. Police are investigating a case of theft of motor vehicle.

* Another car, a Toyota Etios, brown in colour, was stolen from the roadside parking area in Market Street, Boksburg CBD on May 27.

The complainant parked his car there at about 9am, but when he returned to the area at about 4pm, the car was gone. Police are investigating a theft of motor vehicle case.
