A man was killed this morning when he was hit by a truck on the N12 at the Atlas offramp in Boksburg.
This is according to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man lying approximately 10m away from his bakkie. The truck that had collided with the man was found parked a short distance away,” said Meiring.
“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous and showed no signs of life.
“ER24 paramedics immediately began CPR and provided the patient with advanced life support interventions. Unfortunately, after some time, no vital signs returned, and the man was declared dead.
“The driver of the truck was assessed and found to have escaped injury.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
