The illicit drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash were confiscated and the investigation continues.

Members of the Benoni Flying Squad have on Wednesday afternoon May 16 pounced on two people suspected of dealing in drugs in Reiger Park.

According to a spokesperson for the Benoni Flying Squad, Warrant Officer Grant Giblin, members of the unit were following up on information regarding the drug-related crime in the township.

The information led officers to Kringboom Street in Reiger Park, where they then raided a house and found 13 packets of cocaine, 20 packets of dagga, 42 packets of crystal methamphetamine and five mandrax tablets.

“Members of SAPS are determined to continue to fight against drugs and take into account the needs of the community.
