Construction forum to help local businesses benefit from metro’s economic activities
It is envisioned for the forum to provide a much needed platform for local business
The Boksburg Construction Forum (BCF) was established in 2017.
The BCF is the brainchild of Boksburg business/construction companies and Ward 32 Clr Marius de Vos.
According to de Vos, Boksburg contractors have been struggling for a while to penetrate or participate in the economic activities in and around the Ekurhuleni metro.
“There have been many viable economic projects taking shape in the metro, however, local communities have not always been benefiting from those projects.”
For this reason, de Vos is inviting businesses from Boksburg, particularly those in the construction and building material supplier space, to attend a BCF meeting on April 12 at 6pm at the town hall.
De Vos said the purpose of the meeting is to provide a platform for local business and emerging contractors to represent their interests in the unfolding construction opportunities connected to the Leeuwpoort mega housing development and other private developments.
