Witfield Park Retirement Village resident Pam Bilson donated R3 270 to the Boksburg SPCA after asking friends and family to give her cash instead of gifts for her 90th birthday.
To celebrate her birthday, her children took her to a restaurant in Kempton Park on January 21.
“Knowing that I have so many things, I told my children and friends not to buy me presents but to instead consider collecting money for the Boksburg SPCA. I am a big animal lover,” Pam said.
Here she is with her cat, Barbie, who has been her companion for 16 years.
