PG Park to host this year’s Cansa Relay

The Cansa Relay is a fun-filled team event that supports a worthy cause

A fun-filled overnight team experience to raise funds for education, care and support services.

That’s how the Cansa Relay for Life is described by its organisers and this year’s event is expected to continue the status quo.

It will be held at the home of the Boksburg Rugby Club, the iconic Prince George Park Stadium from 6pm on March 9 until 6am March 10.

The event represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, those facing cancer will be supported and one day cancer will be conquered.

The event is volunteer-driven and community-owned.

During the relay, teams of friends, neighbours, families and co-workers commit to keeping at least one member walking the track at all times, because cancer never sleeps. Each team submits a commitment or registration fee.

Team registrations are as follows: R100 per team member and R50 for children aged between six and 12.

For registration payments, interested teams can contact Yolandi Jacobs on 083 937 7187 or email her at yjacobs@cansa.org.za.

The theme for this year’s relay is Disney.
