An Angelo informal settlement man was robbed of his groceries and other belongings worth about R4 000 at about 12.15am on New Year’s Day.

The man told the police he noticed two balaclava-clad men in his yard while on route to the toilet.

He ran back to his shack and the men followed him.

Once inside, one of the men pulled out a firearm and aimed it at the homeowner and his friend.

A third man entered the shack and started stealing items, including a solar system, cellphones and groceries.

The thieves then exited the shack, fired one shot as they were exiting the gate and told the victim that they would be coming back for another round of robbery.
