AIDA Boksburg brings a huge smile to the animals

Caring for the animals at the SPCA this festive season, local real estate agency AIDA Boksburg donated a whopping R16 000 to the SPCA’s Christmas Cheer Fund.

This AIDA donation was made possible with the support of sponsors, namely Hammond Pole Attorneys, Wilma Ewest Attorneys, Duelcor Administration and Financial Services and Lions Rest Guesthouse.

Lesley Pountain, from AIDA Boksburg, said: “The festive season is always an extremely busy time for the SPCA when the kennels are filled to capacity and resources are strained.

“So, instead of making a food donation, we decided to hand a cheque over to their Christmas Cheer Fund.

“The cash donation will allow them to use the monies as they see fit over the festive season. We would like to thank our sponsors because without them we wouldn’t have pulled this off.”

Denver Ramnath, managing director at AIDA Boksburg, highlighted that it’s their first donation to the SPCA and they plan on making an annual donation.

“This donation is our way of giving back to the community and saying thank you to the public for their support.

“I thank Lesley Pountain for initiating this sponsorship and we thank our sponsors who answered our call,” Ramnath said.

Boksburg SPCA manager Maggie Mudd expressed her gratitude for the donation.

“The money will be put to good use towards our outreach programmes and many more,” she said.

This donation was made in loving memory of Gary Young.
