Make a wish come true for House of Mercy

This festive season you can help to put a smile on the faces of patients at House of Mercy by fulfilling their Christmas wish list.

House of Mercy is an NGO drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre located in Olivia Road, Ravenswood. It has been operating since 1988 and was founded by the late Fr Stan Brennan under the auspices of the Catholic Church.

The centre provides voluntary intensive residential treatment to chemically dependent people, from the age of 18, giving preference to the most vulnerable and the poorest.

The aim of the centre is to facilitate the healing of each individual in a holistic manner, focusing on physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects.

Their wish list includes:

Paint, material to fix doors, cleaning materials, mattresses or pillows, fridge, cookware for the kitchen, medicine trolley, renovations to the kitchen, an iron and carpets for their admin area.

If you can help in any way, contact Monica Mashiane, director of the centre on 011 894 4050/2 or email velma@execmail.co.za
