This is according to a SAPS Ekurhuleni Central Cluster statement.
According to the statement, at about 9.20am, the security supervisor was confronted by the gang who ordered all the employees to lie down on the floor.
They then ordered the manager of the store to take them to the stock room, where the door was kicked open.
This then triggered the alarm which caused the robbers to cut their “shopping spree” short.
They fled with a laptop bag, while they took cellphones and cash (about R1550) from the employees. They also robbed a customer by taking jewellery (watch, wedding ring and cash of about R1800).
Nobody was injured. An employee who is pregnant was taken by an ambulance to because of the trauma.
Police are investigating, and will be aided by video footage.
Accoridng to the SAPS, the suspects were driving a white Nissan MP200 and a blue Hyundai Elantra.
