Nigerian nationals busted for dealing in drugs in Boksburg

The Ekurhuleni Central Cluster Task Team arrested two Nigerian nationals on Friday, September 8,after being found in possession of CAT with estimated street value of R124 000.

“The Task Team followed up on information received from Crime Intelligence members working in the Tactical Team,”

“They followed the suspicious vehicle with two occupants to the Tambo Memorial Hospital parking lot, where the suspects, a 30-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were found in possession of the illegal substance,” said police spokeswoman Captain Nomsa Sekele.

The drugs were seized and the suspects were arrested and taken to the Boksburg SAPS, where they were charged with possession and dealing in drugs.

Police believe that the arrested pair were on their way to distribute the drugs to other drug peddlers.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court next week.

* In another unrelated case, the team followed up on information and arrested a man (30), suspected of dealing in drugs in Reiger Park.

He was found in possession of 32 packets of CAT in his house.

He is detained at the Reiger Park police station and will appear in Boksburg Court next week.
