WATCH: Smoke in Jet Park nothing serious – Emergency Services
The Advertiser received a photo from a concerned motorist of a massive smoke cloud in the vicinity of the Griffiths Road off-ramp, at around 2.30pm.
According to Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Services spokesperson Dane Jones no serious incidents of fire have yet been reported in this area.
“Within the last hour, we have only received reports of grass fires in that area,” said Jones.

The motorist said the fire appears to be coming from behind the railway line, in Jet Park, and it was difficult to tell what the cause of the blaze is.
