According to Lt Col Mack Mngomezulu of the Ekurhuleni Central Cluster, the owner shot the robber.

“The suspects pushed the complainant inside the kitchen and they moved towards the bedroom, where they encountered the owner who was holding a firearm. Three shots were fired.
“The shot suspect was killed and the other with a firearm managed to flee.
“A case of attempted house robbery is investigated.”
The police are still looking for the suspect that fled the scene.
