The robbery occurred at about 8.30pm on Friday, June 9.
According to the Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Cebisa Maseko, the homeowner and his daughter had just arrived home when two robbers confronted them while in the garage.
“They pointed firearms at the victims and forced them out of the family car before taking them into the house. The robbers tied the pair up in the bathroom and ransacked the house.
“They loaded the stolen goods into the victim’s two cars and sped off,” said Maseko.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
The two cars were later recovered abandoned in Katlehong.
No arrests have been made so far, but police are investigating a case of house robbery.
