According to Capt Juanita Coetzer of the Boksburg North SAPS, at about 8.20pm, the Sector vehicle received a call of business breaking in progress at Value Mall, Boksburg North.
“They reacted quickly and found four males jumping into their silver Toyota and fleeing the scene,”said Coetzer.
“They gave chase up in Rietfontein Road onto the N12 freeway towards Johannesburg. They took the Jet Park offramp onto Pretoria road.
“Still with the sector vehicle in pursued, the suspects took a left into North Rand Road. The SAPS members fired shots at the vehicle and hit the tyre, which brought the suspects to a halt.
“All four suspects were arrested. One suspect was slightly injured in the arm.
“In the getaway vehicle they found business breaking equipment. It was also found that the vehicle was positively stolen in Pretoria. All role players was on scene.”
