Last week the Advertiser ran a story about the family’s financial situation, which was making it difficult for them to bury their slain daughter.

The little girl laid to rest at the Rondebult Cemetery, on Sunday, April 9.
Chrisania’s naked body, which had sustained stab wounds to the neck and stomach, was found in the veld next to the ZCC Church on Elsburg Road on Saturday morning, April 1.
After hearing of the family’s plight, Rand Undertakers offered the family a free full funeral service.
Meanwhile, local churches and community members provided financial assistance and donated food and other necessities to the bereaved family.
Speaking on behalf of the family, a thankful Reiger Park CPF chairperson Pastor Francis Coetzee said both the CPF and Chrisania’s family breathed a sigh of relief after Rand Undertakers offered to bury the girl for free.
Coetzee thanked everyone for all their support.
The police arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with Chrisania’s murder on Monday, April 3.
The man was, however, released due to lack of evidence to link him to the crime.
