The Advertiser reported about Witfield residents’ anger over plans to construct a 30m-high telecommunications tower at the premises of the NG Kerk in Hughes and Donald streets.
Metro spokesman Themba Gadebe said they have no record of receipt for a building plan application.
We also asked what exactly is required for the residents’ objections to outweigh the application, to which Gadebe responded that all concerns are key and none has more power or influence over the other.
On whether or not there’s a limitation on the number of towers that can be erected within a certain radius, Gadebe said there’s no limitations, measures or technical justifications to the number of towers in a particular range.
