House intruders rob response security officer of his revolver in Parkrand

Thugs burgled a Parkrand house and subsequently robbed a response security officer of his service single-action revolver.

The drama unfolded on January 23, when two suspects driving in a white vehicle, forced their way into a residential property in Parkrand.

A domestic worker, who was at the time busy cleaning the house, noticed the thieves breaking the door to enter the house and she reportedly took her cellphone and suddenly ran to the lapa to hide from the intruders.

Once inside the house, the thieves grabbed two highly-priced TV sets and a laptop.

An armed response officer arrived at the scene and found the thugs still in the property.

The thugs held the officer at gunpoint and took his service firearm, before fleeing the scene with the stolen goods worth about R40 000.

No arrests have been made and investigation continues.

Attempted murder

In another crime story, police are looking for a group of men in connection with an attempted murder of a Boksburg man – who was recently stabbed, pelted with bricks, undressed and dumped to die in the bushes near Boksburg East railway station.

The victim was attacked by five men near the railway station on Sunday night, January 15.

Raped

Meanwhile an Angelo informal settlement told the police that she was on January 21 raped at gunpoint.

She told the police that the gunman grabbed her off the informal settlement street and dragged her into a shack, where he sexually assaulted her at gunpoint for half an hour.
