Boksburg High matrics attain 99.93 per cent pass rate

Boksburg High School is proud to report that of the 287 learners who wrote the 2016 matric examinations, only two learners were unsuccessful in passing.

This led to the school achieving a 99.93 per cent pass rate, with 57 per cent bachelor passes, 41 per cent diploma passes and two per cent higher certificate passes.

The school achieved a total of 123 distinctions.

“These achievements are a result of the hard work of the learners, as well as the teaching staff and management of Boksburg High School,” said headmaster Jan du Plessis,

“Congratulations, class of 2016 and well wishes on the journey ahead.”

The school’s top achiever is Salmaan Ghole with six distinctions: English, Afrikaans, mathematics, accounting, life sciences and physical science.

Torrick Hatha achieved five distinctions: Afrikaans, mathematics, life sciences, physical science and visual arts.

Attiyah Ghanchi excelled with five distinctions: English, Afrikaans, accounting, life sciences and physical science.

Jennifer Gengadu obtained five distinctions: Afrikaans, mathematics, accounting, life sciences and physical science.

Amber van Staden obtained four distinctions: English, mathematics, history and life science.

Edwin Ndaba obtained four distinctions: English, Afrikaans, life orientation and history.
