123 distinctions for Sunward Park high

Although Sunward Park High School dropped from last year's pass rate, it still managed to bag a total of 123 distinctions.

The school had 225 matriculants sitting for the 2016 examinations and 18 failed, while four were marked as ‘incomplete’.

The school dropped from an impressive 96 per cent in 2015 to 93 in the 2016 results.

They achieved 51 per cent Bachelor passes, 40 per cent Diploma passes, and nine per cent higher certificate passes.

Deputy principal Enoch Thango said although they are disappointed by the drop in pass rate, “we take this opportunity to congratulate all the learners who represented us well. We will analyse the results carefully and come up with an improvement plan for this year.”
