Police need help identifying two bodies

Boksburg police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the bodies of two men who died, after being involved in two separate train accidents.

first victim died back in May, when he fell off a train travelling past Angelo informal settlement.

He’s described as a black male, 1.7m tall; between 30 and 40 years old. At the time, he was wearing a work suit with a striped shirt and black shoes.

The second man was hit by a train at the Boksburg railway station, on August 29.

The man is described as a black male in his 30s.

He was wearing a powder blue T-shirt and jeans.

Their bodies are still at the Germiston Government Mortuary, awaiting identification.

The investigating officer, Const Jacob Lambani, appeals to anyone who can assist him in identifying the bodies, to contact him on 073 781 3796/ 011 841 6858.

* Meanwhile W/O Rudi Venter is looking for information and witnesses regarding a fatal accident that took place in Jerusalem Informal Settlement, just after 3am on Sunday, November 27.

It’s believed that the victim was walking through the area with two other men, when the car struck him on Wit Deep Road.

The driver of the vehicle involved was found, but the investigating officer would also like to speak to the two people who witnessed the accident.
